Timing is Everything in Content Writing

Be consistent & ride the cart towards success, albeit rather slowly.

So in the laconic word is wait for the right time to make a great move even if it takes some time. It is not just a philosophical way to tell that timing is everything for a content writer, it is also a way to express the fact that patience is a virtue, really!

For an instance if you are great in SEO & SMM techniques & you are producing a great content, website/blog may take days or months to be recognized. It is a gradual process and not a part of aggressive marketing & one day show. Content writer must understand the importance of the concept of timing.

What is the concept of good Timing?

Remember the strategy in a race, when a racer starts running slowly & at a specific point & time racer accelerates & in the end the one who practiced a lot & increases the speed according to the plan, wins the race.

Similarly, a content writer who puts a lot of blood, sweat & tears into building a fascinating content, has to wait & see that when the right time will be to cast the content at the audience. For example; if you are a content writer & you put your content on a website when the traffic is low then how would you expect a good response? And if that content remains invisible because other upcoming content will overlap it in a few hours then in a second all the hard work will go in vain!

That’s really unacceptable as a good content should standout & audience should be benefitted by it, so it is important to know for a content writer that when the audience come & read between the lines.

How to know what is the right time to upload the content?

It is a very simple step if you already know about Web Analytics. So if you are using a good and understandable (which provides categorized, deep & easy to read analysis) web analytics then, it tells you about the demography of your audience including the timing about how many impressions have been gained by your website/blog in a specific period of time. This is also known as impressions over time graph. Many other terms are used for this analysis as it depends on the Analytics tool you are using. This kind of strategy is also used in SMM, all the examples are described in the end of this post.

As you can see in above example, in the red ovals date is mentioned & on another axis that is where we see the number of followers. It is a very general example, in reality, the content writer must analyze more profound stats such as the exact hours when most of the audience try to engage or actively surfs the site.

Many social media websites show deep analysis when someone use those sites for a campaign. A few examples are shown in following pics.

This is most desirable stats as it shows engagement on your twitter profile within 24 hours in easily readable form. No need to mention that twitter is another big player when it comes to campaigning.

Besides this, Content experts also prefer various patterns to upload content. For example, if you have a website related to clubs & restaurants in your town then you might want to deliver more quality content on every weekend instead of other days of the week because people search more about these spots on weekends. It is just an example, some Content experts prefer time intervals of different duration to release the content, but this all depends on the type of content & habits of the respective audience.

So now you can see how important is to analyse that on what day,at what time & in which hours your audience will provide a boost to your content, it needs patience & good analysing skills as you have a missile already but you have to know when to launch it & not to release it immediately. This is all about timing for a better content flow & interaction with the audience
